Working Together To Move Forward

You have probably seen a collaboration post sharing that some of us  in my group recently did for a Christmas in July Event. It reminds me of when I was growing up and making friends. My family moved for my dad's job several times. My parents used to tell me "You have to be a friend to make a friend." That has served me well during the moves and even in my adult life. Making friends means putting yourself "out there" which is not always easy. Some people you will just "click" with and others not so much. Either way it is okay.

Why am I mentioning this? Because that is the way it is in business. There are two types of relationships:

1. Business to Customers (B2C) - Some people will get what you are offering and others will not. You will not connect with everyone, but the ones that you do connect with is the start of a business relationship. They come to know, like and trust you.

2. Business to Business (B2B) - In the Printables Resource Sellers Group on Facebook, we connect with others and make friends as business owners. Most cities have a Chamber of Commerce. They hold in person events to network and collaborate with each other. That is what we are doing in the online space with Facebook groups.

That is what the Christmas in July Event was last week - a collaboration of new friends who have networked together. A few have been in the group for a while and even participated last year! The Printables Resource collaboration came about because we are willing to co-contribute, share the responsibility, and building on each other's strengths to create a mutual benefit.
